This is a great little story. It will probably remind a few of you of a story called Atlas Shrugged. 🙂 The freakiest thing is that this is something that is plausible in the next ten years.
It’s also a good hint at what I think is a possible outcome of an Article V convention. The States are overwhelmingly red majority. If such a convention were ever held, the result would be a hard lurch to the right. DC insiders would be largely out of the loop. End result? The lefties walk.
The Conservative Lefty 
Have you read Mark Levin’s Liberty Amendments book? Congress can be bypassed in the Amendment process if you have enough conservative state legislatures. There are many more now. I must admit however, I have thought of just that scenario in the article. 😉

Haven’t read the book, but it sounds like he’s talking about the same thing. An Article V convention is called by the states to amend the constitution. We are very close to meeting the requirements for it, as well.
